Leyard Europe Upgrades TV JOJ Studios with Advanced Display Solutions

Leyard Europe LED and LCD screens have played a central role in the upgrade of multiple studios at TV JOJ, a leading Slovakian television station. The project began in July 2022 and built on an existing relationship with an architect who was familiar with Leyard’s exceptional product quality and European manufacturing capabilities. By September 2023, the project had been successfully completed, transforming two of TV JOJ's studios with state-of-the-art LED and LCD screens.

TV JOJ was in need of adaptable studio setups to accommodate various shows, including morning programmes, political debates, and news broadcasts. The studios were outfitted with Leyard's acclaimed TVF Series LED video walls and URW105-ERO-Touch large LCD displays, offering superior performance in broadcast settings.

As is typical of such ambitious undertakings, the project encountered challenges. After the initial installation and camera tests, TV JOJ decided to enlarge the main screens, requiring quick adjustments. Fortunately, Leyard's manufacturing facility in Slovakia efficiently produced and calibrated new LED cabinets, ensuring seamless integration. "Our ability to react quickly while maintaining consistent quality was invaluable," Janosova notes.

Close collaboration between the end user, architect, and Leyard's dedicated team was essential to the planning phase. The architect provided initial designs in the form of conceptual drawings, which required onsite testing with the broadcaster’s cameras to finalize the display specifications. This meticulous planning process guaranteed that the final setup would meet the broadcaster’s high standards.

Leyard's proven TVF Series was selected for its fine pixel pitch, front serviceability, and stackable design that eliminates the need for cabinet-to-cabinet cabling. This design minimizes space requirements and optimizes the studio's working environment by maintaining low heat output. The TVF Series exhibits low latency and high refresh rates on camera, making it ideal for live broadcasts. Redundant power supplies and backup control systems further enhance reliability, ensuring the studio is well-equipped for critical content productions.
