Event Type: Webcast
Date: Tuesday, August 04, 2020
Time: 7pm CEST
Duration: 1 hour
This webcast will outline the requirements for designing and building a concave or convex LED video wall. It will review the hardware components including flexible LED modules, power and data signal flows, and custom mounting frames. It will provide tools to evaluate the decision between flat faceted cabinets or flexible modules, including a review of the geometry to calculate cabinet-to-cabinet angle from a given curve radius. It will discuss the issue of color-shift at different viewing angles and with different LED diode orientations.
Other topics will include mixing flat and curved surfaces, selecting the optimum pixel pitch, indoor versus outdoor, seam correction, analyzing brightness requirements, and display surface ruggedization. These ideas will be illustrated with case studies, photos, videos, online calculators, and a show-and-tell of hardware components.
