IBC 2022

Venue: Amsterdam RAI

Leyard Europe partners with Vizrt and Zero Density at IBC 2022

This year’s IBC will see Leyard Europe, manufacturer of digital displays, video walls and visualisation products, partner with two of the most prominent companies in the worlds of broadcast, virtual reality and augment reality, Vizrt® and Zero Density.

Vizrt is a leading provider of innovative visual storytelling tools for media content creators in broadcast, enterprise, or new media. At IBC, its stand will feature a 9 x 9 panels (5.5m wide x 3m high) of Leyard TVF 1.5mm LED screen, where Head of Brand and Content, Chris Black, will demonstrate the new integration between Unreal Engine and its Viz suite of software, a frequently used application in broadcast and augmented reality.

“At IBC, Vizrt will show you how storytellers reach beyond the impossible with the new Possibility Engine, Viz Engine 5 which allows you to intelligently optimize and adapt your story for every screen size, giving viewers the perfect viewing experience no matter how they watch your content,” says Black. “We'll also show how designers can reach beyond imagination and create entirely new worlds in real-time with perfectly blended render workflows using Viz Engine 5 and Unreal Engine 5. The Vizrt Group stage will feature all this and much more.”

Meanwhile, trailblazer in the worlds of virtual studios, augmented reality, xr and real-time graphics technologies for the broadcast, live events and esports industries, Zero Density, will be utilising an 8 x 8 panels (4.8m wide x 2.7m high) of Leyard TVF 1.5mm screen to demonstrate how the LED videowall is used as a video backdrop, as well as an XR stage where the background will be rendered live according to the position of the camera. This will be shown both in a single camera set up as well as in a multicam set up where the LED wall is running at 100 Hz, allowing two different perspectives to be shown on the same videowall from each of two cameras.

During the IBC Leyard sister company, Optitrack, a highly accurate and scalable tracking system for today’s most demanding film and broadcast XR applications, will launch its new broadcast camera tracking option. This has been developed together with Zero Density and will be part of the Optitrack motion-capturing and tracking system.

“With LED walls it’s all about the application,” says Leyard’s Director of Business Development EMEA, Hans Van Houdt, who will be available throughout the show. “What our customers want to understand is what can be achieved for their project from a complete system. Partnering with these two great companies that are experts in their respective fields allows us to show the full potential of our collective offering.”
